Finn Wittrock is a screenwriter and American actor born on October 28, 1984, in Lenox, Massachusetts, United States. He is also known as Peter Wittrock Jr and is best known for portraying Dandy Mott in ‘FX’s horror anthology series American Horror Story’ in the Freak Show. In the FX crime drama series, The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story, he played the murder victim Jeffrey Trail.

He later appeared in American Horror Story: Hotel as model Tristan Duffy and actor Rudolph Valentino and a guest appearance in American Horror Story: Roanoke. CSI: Miami, All My Children, Masters of Sex, and Deadbeat are his other significant television appearances. Wittrock appeared in My All American, The Submarine Kid, and Write When You Get Work.

He appeared in films including Twelve, Unbroken, The Big Short, La La Land, Landline, A Futile, and Stupid Gesture, plus One as a supporting actor. He has also been on stage in Candida, Romeo and Juliet, The Illusion, Death of a Salesman, Othello, and The Glass Menagerie.

After graduating from high school, Wittrock began applying for film and television roles. After a year of struggle, he made cameo appearances on Cold Case and ER shows in 2003. He appears in the police procedural series ‘CSI: Miami’ and the Disney Channel Original Movie Halloweentown High. While in high school, he strived in acting, filmmaking, and various movement programs for actors.

Later in his career, he appeared in various films, television shows, and theatrical productions. He went on to play Romeo in the Shakespeare Theater Company’s production of Romeo and Juliet and Eugene Marchbanks in the Berkshire Theater Festival’s production of Candida (2008).

Winter’s Tale, Noah, and Unbroken, all of which were released in 2014, were among his cinematic credits. Wittrock starred in two more seasons of American Horror Story, dubbed Hotel and Roanoke, from 2015 to 2016.

In 2015, he starred as Freddie Steinmark, a college football player, in My All American’s biographical sports drama film. Wittrock also starred in and co-wrote the screenplay for The Submarine Kid’s drama film in the same year. After that, he starred in the biographical comedy The Big Short in 2015. In 2016, Wittrock played a minor role in the Tony Award-winning musical La La Land.

He has appeared in films such as Landline (2017) and ‘A Futile and Stupid Gesture (2018). In the upcoming film Judy, he will play Mickey Deans. In 2018, he received his second Emmy nomination as murder victim Jeffrey Trail in ‘The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story.’ His recent stage credits include ‘Othello’ productions at the New York Theater Workshop and ‘The Glass Menagerie on Broadway, both directed by Sam Gold.

Wittrock’s Father, Peter L Wittrock, is an actor and his mother, Kate Claire Crowley, is a teacher of Occupational Therapy at the University of Southern California. He was a member of ‘Group 37’ in the theatrical division. Until his graduation in 2008, he took part in several theatrical shows. He was also given the ‘Juilliard Journal Award’ for his considerable contributions to ‘The Juilliard Journal.’
